Federal and state requirements affecting AI-enabled products, patient communications, privacy, and automated decisions.
AI-specific obligations alongside privacy, financial-sector resilience, and product cybersecurity requirements.
Federal and provincial privacy requirements, plus model risk expectations for federally regulated financial institutions.
Explore selected AI, privacy, cybersecurity, and sector requirements across the United States, European Union, and Canada. Find official sources, important dates, and practical questions to bring to your engineering, security, procurement, and legal teams.
Initial coverage includes selected requirements in the United States, European Union, and Canada. Each entry identifies its scope, sources, and verification date. Coverage will expand as additional entries are reviewed.
A useful regulatory review starts with how the system is used. Work through these questions before treating a requirement as applicable.
Selected changes to the rules and guidance tracked here. Dates are when each event happened; each entry shows separately when Medoya last verified and updated it.
Frameworks and security references can help organize governance and technical assessment. Explore NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, OWASP guidance, and MITRE ATLAS, with clear explanations of their role.
This resource provides general information about selected regulations and technical considerations. It is not legal advice or a determination that a particular system complies. Check the linked official sources and obtain advice for your circumstances.

Where do prompts, retrieved documents, outputs, logs, and backups go? Who can access them, and how long are they retained?
Which tools and systems can the agent use? What prevents unauthorized actions or access beyond its intended scope?
When is a person involved, what can they see, and can they change or stop the outcome?
Which statements are documented, which controls can be tested, and which claims remain unverified?
Can the team detect problems, reconstruct activity, revoke access, and recover safely?
Do the records identify the system version, deployment configuration, test scope, findings, limitations, and decisions?
Dates can refer to different things: a new obligation, a transition period ending, or a requirement being changed. Open an entry to check the affected audience, exceptions, and enforcement notes. Dates by region: United States · European Union · Canada.
Once applicability is established, technical review can help answer concrete questions about the deployed system. The examples below describe assessment work that may support your wider governance and compliance process.
Assess what an agent can access and do, test relevant attack paths, and document findings and limitations.
Examine how a vendor's product fits the intended use, including data flows, deployment options, available evidence, and open questions.
Review trust boundaries, permissions, human approvals, logging, and recovery arrangements before deployment or expansion.
Medoya reviews AI agent behavior, vendor evidence, and architecture within an agreed technical scope. We document findings, limitations, and practical next steps so your team can decide what to change and what needs further review.
This is a curated collection of selected requirements relevant to AI deployments. Each entry states its jurisdiction and scope. Additional regions and topics can be added as their content is reviewed.
Start with the jurisdiction, organization, activity, data, product, and decision involved. Then read the official sources and any exceptions. Your legal and compliance teams can determine applicability; technical review can help establish how the system actually works.
They can help explain supervisory expectations or organize governance and technical evidence. The tracker identifies each instrument's type. Standards and security references have their own companion page.
It is the date the entry's claims and status were checked against the linked sources. It does not guarantee that no later change has occurred. "Last updated" identifies when Medoya changed the entry itself.
A scoped review can provide technical evidence and identify issues. Compliance may also depend on governance, contracts, notices, sector requirements, and other responsibilities beyond that review.
